Meet The Teachers
Dan Frost
Born into a family of musicians, Dan Frost began playing the guitar seriously around age 10, learning chords and entering talent contests. He has dedicated his life to music, by studying at music institutes, concentrating on progressive rock & blues. He has taught music in the Northstate for over twenty-years. He can be found at Sequoia Middle School, several Charter Schools, and Herried Music Store. Music is his life and he strives to help kids and adults make the same connection. His influences include: Steve Vai; Joe Satriani; Lita Ford; Stevie Ray Vaughn; Eric Johnson; Nuno Bettencourt; Angus Young; and many other players who Dan feels have put forth their own true voice through their music. He’s currently the face of Frost School of Music, and he is determined to be the best instructor he can be for young musicians.
Jessica Medrano
Jessica Medrano is the co-owner of Frost School of Music and helps instruct students alongside Dan Frost. Her two passions are playing music and education, which is why she’s thrilled to be part of the Frost School of Music staff. Jessica has been playing music for fourteen years, and it all began with guitar. However, after exploring a bit more, she realized she prefered drums as her main instrument. As Jessica progressed as a player, she started joining several bands, including an all-girl band, The Flangz. She believes it was the best musical experience of her life. The band was together for several years and toured through the west coast. Jessica’s music experience ranges from playing electric and acoustic guitar, song-writing, and drums. As a guitar player, her strengths are rhythm, but she will not shy away from a guitar solo. As a drummer, she tends to lean towards rock and roll, bluesy, and funk styles. At Frost School of Music, Jessica wants to help you grow as a musician and guide to your inner artist.
